-Some of the top beauty products I recommend for saving time and money
The beauty products industry is booming. According to the market research firm Grand View Research, the global beauty industry will reach $716 billion by 2025. It's easy to see why. We're a society obsessed with looks. We're bombarded with images of flawless models in magazines and on TV and in advertisements nearly every time we leave our homes. As a result, many of us feel compelled to purchase products that will help us look like those models -- or at least not age like them.
And while it may seem like there's no end in sight for beauty product spenders, there are plenty of beauty products on the market that do double-duty and actually save you money over time. Depending on your budget, you can get just as great results from a drugstore brand as you can from a department store brand. I tried out a variety of drugstore products to see if they were worth buying and here are some tips for saving time and money next time you're browsing the beauty aisle.
Mascara is one of those items that doesn't seem all that special until you try the wrong kind. I've never been one to wear much make-up but I do always use mascara because it makes my eyes pop. My two favorite mascaras are CoverGirl

I find that people love to talk about themselves, so if you can get a conversation started about where you're from or what brings you to the area, that's half the battle. The trick is to always be talking about something. I always have something to talk about--my job! I'm a makeup artist and beauty blogger, so I'm always curious about what other people's routines are like.
Not all conversations are going to go well, but that's okay. It is literally my job to walk up to strangers in public and engage them in conversation. If the first person isn't receptive, I just move on to the next one.
My favorite way of meeting new people is at networking events. You're already there with a shared interest in whatever it is (business, tech, etc), so conversation comes easily. Plus, when you meet someone through another friend or professional acquaintance, it's an instant connection.
The key is just to try new things and not be afraid to put yourself out there. As much as I hate it right now, I know that my constant moving will pay off in the long run by helping me become more confident and independent--and more likely to make friends wherever I go!
-They have awesome reviews on amazon, skinstore, and Nordstrom
I am really excited to share my new favorite beauty products with you. They are truly amazing. Since I started using them, my skin has been glowing.
They are called De-Stress products and they are by a company called Sircuit Skin. It is a vegan, cruelty-free skincare line that just launched in the US and is sold online at skinstore.com and Nordstrom.com
I have been using the moisturizers and serums religiously for the past 3 weeks and I am seriously impressed with the results. My skin feels plumper, more hydrated, and smoother than it ever has before. I love that these products are vegan and cruelty-free and that they contain natural ingredients like pomegranate extract, grape seed oil, avocado oil, argan oil, coconut oil, green tea extract, rosehip oil and aloe vera leaf juice. They also contain peptides to firm your skin which is great for aging skin like mine!
The packaging of all the products is beautiful too; very simple and clean looking. The products are also made in small batches so you know you're getting the freshest possible ingredients each time you order something new from them!
-Beauty products I try and recommend, especially for saving
You may remember that a year ago I wrote about my beauty routine, and how I was trying to find a few natural products that worked for me. I got such great feedback and tips from you all, so thanks again!
Since then, I have continued experimenting with products and have decided to create a blog post to share my results with everyone. There are so many beauty blogs out there, but they are often created by people with very different skin types than me (usually much drier) or who don’t prioritize saving money, so it is hard for me to know which tips will be most relevant. These are the products I am currently using, and which I would recommend:
Makeup remover: Coconut oil or jojoba oil. These work well for taking off most of my makeup without drying out skin or stinging eyes too much. They can leave an oily film on your face afterward if you don't wash it off though.
-Wear these makeup products
Foundation and primers are the most important products for your makeup. They help create a smooth canvas for your look. Choose a foundation that matches your skin tone. If you have oily or combination skin, opt for an oil-free foundation. If you have dry skin, choose a formula that hydrates your skin care.
When picking a concealer, make sure it is one shade lighter than your foundation.
Okka Beauty a relatively new online K-Beauty store, but has become very well known in the beauty community in a short period of time. Prices are competitive and really impressive by the range of the brands that they carry!
